Photos of the next generation Amazon Kindle eBook reader surfaced. Amazon actually denied rumors of a new Kindle for this fall and this might also hold true, but there is a new Kindle 2 coming with a bit more attractive design.
The new Kindle has round corners and a new keyboard layout. It still does not blow me away. The screen is too small and the wide border around the display makes the device look unsexy. The new Sony PRS-700 eBook reader is better looking just because the screen covers more of the device surface.

I want to see an eBook reader that is just a touch-screen without "chrome".
Technical details of the new Kindle 2 are still vague, but seem pretty much the same as the currently available Kindle eBook Reader.
